In the United States today, there are roughly 42 million Medicare patients1. As a direct Medicare provider for select health and wellness services, some of these individuals are our patients. The unique thing about many of our Medicare patients is they are taking a pro-active approach to gain control of their health. They welcome the opportunity to learn from a provider on ways they can maintain and improve their well-being in order to minimize, delay or alleviate future risks of chronic illness and disability.
Since we are accessible and can act as an extension or tool for primary care providers to optimize their Medicare patients health, many individuals are referred by primary care physicians. Patients are also referred by other patients, our sister company Life Line Screening, or find us through advertisements distributed by Life Line Community Healthcare.
70% of our patients are scheduled with a customer care representatives at our call center located in Canton, Ohio. Each representative is trained to handle patients with care and provide quality customer service while scheduling their appointment and in taking their information. Medicare eligibility is also confirmed by our representatives prior to their appointment. The other 30% of patients are considered walk-ins at events. These patients are greeted by a customer care coordinator trained in providing welcoming, quality service, as well as addressing primary care needs, care coordination and Medicare plan benefit verification.
